The bedrock for a healthy and functional society lies in the integrity of the family unit, which is primarily dependent on a successful relationship between husband and wife. At the Islamic Council of Europe, the majority of work we engage in deals with marriage breakdowns.
It is essential for the community to comprehend the framework of a successful marriage and learn how to apply that framework in daily life.
As well as a nuanced discussion on duties and rights of spouses, the course will cover the essential recipe for a successful marriage from a detailed reading of the Scriptures of the Qur’an and Sunnah, through the experience of advisors from the Council.
This course will aim to address and provide guidance to key challenges regarding matrimonial life and explain in practical terms with scenarios what it means for spouses to commit and work towards a flourishing marriage.
